The bedroom community of Bluegrass lies in West Knoxville and follows the northern shore of the Tennessee River. Most of its subdivisions are of the upscale & exclusive variety, such as Whittington Creek, Northshore Hills, Cottington Creek, and Saint Ives. Northshore Drive takes you from Rocky Hill out past Pellissippi Parkway to Northshore Town Center, a very new mixed-use community of townhomes, single-family homes and retail stores. If you continue west you will find yourself in Concord.
Keller Bend, a waterfront peninsula community in the Bluegrass area, lies between Northshore Drive and the river. A forest surrounds the mansions with a nice little park out at the tip.
Bluegrass is centrally located and makes for an easy commute either into downtown Knoxville or out to the airport. Conveniently close to the Pellissippi Parkway means it is just a short drive up to Oak Ridge as well. Thanks to its proximity to the river and the lushness of the natural landscape, Bluegrass is pleasing to the eye.
Concord is an upscale area located east of Farragut and west of
Knoxville and adjoining the Bluegrass area. Concord is a lovely
community situated along a lake created by TVA. This lake provides lots
of recreation opportunities for the folks of Concord and surrounding
areas of Northshore, Farragut and Bluegrass, including boating,
swimming and fishing on the lake. Concord offers many outdoor
recreation facilities.
If you follow Northshore Drive you will run into
the 500-acre public park which includes a marina that offers a
full-service restaurant overlooking the river. The park also offers
baseball fields, softball fields, tennis courts, football fields and
even a three-hole golf course. In Concord there are many outdoor
activities, but you are also still close to shopping, movies, the
airport and so much more. Come find your dream home for sale in lovely
Concord.
